TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
"Teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions. "~Unknown
I believe every student, with and without disabilities, deserves an education that enables them to be successful in the future. I have a huge passion for teaching children, especially those with special needs. While at the University of Mary, I have learned it is my duty as an educator to take responsibility for student learning, display professional characteristics, and exhibit strong pedagogical knowledge. I take each and every one of those statements to heart and I believe I am already displaying those traits.
At the end of the day, I will take the time to reflect about how I did as a teacher and how I can improve. I truly believe there is always room for improvement. I know every day will be different and some will be more of a challenge, but I will not quit. I will show up the next day with a smile on my face and a positive attitude, ready to teach every single one of my students. Teaching is not just a job to me. It is a passion and a dream that I am excited to execute every day!
